What we do
We're based in Carboneras, not shipped in from the city. That means we know which beach car parks fill up by ten, which road is quicker when the AL-5106 is busy, and how long the run to the airport really takes in August.

Almería (LEI) is about an hour from Carboneras; Murcia–Corvera (RMU) roughly an hour and a half. We track your flight, so a delay on the runway doesn't leave you stranded in arrivals — and we build in enough time on the way out that you're not watching the clock.

CarboTaxi24H started in 2010 with a straightforward observation: Carboneras deserved a taxi service that actually understood the place. It was set up by Antonio Martínez — second-generation cabbie, carbonero born and bred — with two cars and one promise: never leave anyone stranded.

How far ahead should I book?
For a journey within Carboneras we can usually be with you in five to ten minutes. For airport transfers, book at least 24 hours ahead — and more than that in July and August, when the coast gets busy. We'll always try to cover last-minute requests.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. Every hour of every day, 365 days a year, including Christmas, New Year and local fiestas.
Can I book for a specific time?
Of course. Give us the date and time and we'll be there, whether that's tomorrow or in six months.
How are fares worked out?
By distance and time, under the municipal taxi tariff. For the routes we run most — the airports, Mojácar, Almería city — there's a fixed price agreed up front, so you know the cost before you get in.
Will I know the price before I travel?
Yes. Book in advance and we'll quote you — a fixed price on our set routes, a close estimate on anything else.

How long does it take from Carboneras to Almería airport?
About an hour — roughly 70 km on the A-7. Early flights are no problem; we run through the night. Book 24 hours ahead and we will confirm a fixed price before you travel.
How far is Agua Amarga from Carboneras?
Around 25 minutes, just under 20 km along the coast road. It is one of our most frequent runs in summer, particularly in the evening for dinner there.
How do I get to Playa de los Muertos without a car?
By taxi to the viewpoint at the top, then a footpath of about 15 minutes down to the beach. It is roughly 10 minutes from the centre of Carboneras. In summer the car park fills early and vehicle access is restricted, so a taxi both ways saves a great deal of circling. We agree your pick-up time when we drop you off.
